Intro Blog

 Hi, my name is Gabriella Jackson I am in the 10th grade, I choose this class because I love movies. I enjoy watching films and studying the acting and from now learning some of the editing terms pointing it out. It is currently 21/9/2020 and I am doing this blog for Cambridge I am really excited to get my Cambridge diploma. I enjoy sports, I like to watch basketball and sometimes play it as well. My favorite actor is Jim Carrey. The Black Lives Matter movement is very important in my life. One day very soon I will be an actress. I love music of all genres but I mainly listen to R&B. I love water but sometimes it gets boring so I drink sparkling water. (flavored or unflavored)My favorite singer would have to be Beyoncé because of her vocal range and her ability to control her breathing and stage performance. Acting is very cool to me and I recently watched the Emmys and enjoyed the show it was well hosted from the bit I watched but felt there should have been a lot more diversity among the giving of awards. I love acting and improving with my friends it just gives me freedom and a different look at the world. I live in South Florida so the weather is so bipolar one minute it's raining and the next minute it's sunny. I have a family that lives in England and I think that English history is very fascinating, to say the least. I have traveled to 2 different countries within my lifetime and I enjoyed it. This year we were supposed to go to England to see family but COVID -19 happen and we were unable to go but "everything happens for a reason" right. My favorite basketball player at the moment would have to be Ben McLemore, even though the lakers are my favorite team. The weather in Florida is currently rainy and there is support to be a cold front very soon. I hope that by 2021 COVID-19 will be gone. I am very excited for Christmas to eat some very nice meals and enjoy the holidays.

My partner had senior pictures today. So we weren't able to do work on our project/ start filming. So instead of wasting time I worked further on our schedule. Our go date on filming is next week, where we will be starting the filming process. I also have worked out the electronics we will be using for the film. The photos for our social media's will be posted once we start filming. I particularly want this to happen to give the social media's a more authentic feel. Spring break Blog

 So currently in the United States, this is our last day for school. From now until the end of March we will be on spring break. This is extremely well needed with all the different classes having to be kept up with and the work. This spring break will be the break every high schooler or anyone in school has needed since the time school started. I am very excited to take a break and focus on my mental health. It is very important to get back in tune with your mental self that a lot of people seem to forget about. When it comes to school, grades, and work overall. So spring break will give us this time to check in with ourselves. Also, spring break gives us time to let loose and not have to worry about anything. In today's blog, I will be about the next steps in my task. My first in this will be to do more research on editing which is what I am currently doing. " Editing is the process of selecting and preparing written, photographic, visual, audible, or cinematic material used by a person or an entity to convey a message or information." My main concern as of now is the editing software. Luckily I have the internet that shows over 20 reliable and reputable software to search from either for android or I phone.
