Planning Blog: Sound Script & Shooting Script

In this blog, I will be showing you all of the different steps of my movie. I have the different scenes in this PowerPoint that show you what will happen next. The planning script is an important part of this film project. As well as the different sounds that will be heard. In doing so with creating the PowerPoint it helps me with placement. The placement of the sound will be a lot easier for me to put it in different parts of my film. It helps tremendously in piecing together my film. The PowerPoint helps to let everyone know what happens next. When starting my editing process this will help in knowing when to add sound and what kind of sound. This also helps me with the acting portion of my film. It will help me with knowing what lines come next and what to say. As well as my other actors knowing what to say as well. It also helps to see what will be coming next in the film. The script PowerPoint is also great weather to learn the lines of the script. In having the sound laid out for...

Planning blog: Location, Participants, Health, Schedule, Title design in details

In this blog, I have shown the different steps that I will be taken into account moving forward in my project. The schedule tells you everything that will be happening from March 1st to the 18th. From those dates, I will be starting my project and ending it. I have a very reasonable schedule of when everything will be taken place. Due to the mandatory notion of the students having to have a schedule. This helps me manage my time and not have it feel like I have to do a bunch of things at once. This will help me in the future with my project remember everything that needs to get done by looking at my schedule. The location portion of my PowerPoint is to tell the location of where I will be shooting my film. The area where I am shooting my film is very important with my film. In it is important to the film without it. There will be a catastrophe! The participants part of my PowerPoint shows the different people who apart from my film. This will help me with the editing process. It ...

Title research: Cape Fear

Image
The titles that are displayed within the opening sequence show the different creators and actors. The images that are prioritized in the opening sequence would be the ocean with the effects of a man and an animal. So with them doing this were unable to see the full story. We also are able to interpret that the ocean or water has relevance with the film due to it being shown in the sequence. They were a bunch of loud scary music playing in the background. The way this helps it be a thriller is that not only are you seeing the words as the music plays but parts of a man. Due to not knowing what the man looks like and only seeing the eyes. It gives off an uneasy feeling. Of that, the man may be the killer. The use of the water really helped show how you are unable to see the full picture. As far as the different colors bouncing off the water reflecting an unclear image. The connotations that these images carry are just everything being scary and unsettling. The film establishes the t...

Title research: Signs

Image
The title dispyed the were shown in the opening sequence would be the title and a bunch of name who stared in the movie. As well as the people who created it like directors. The images that are prioritized in te opening sequence are all blue back grounds with words. Of whos playing in the movie and whos aprats of the creation process. The connotations that the images carry is just dark and suspicious. Due to the lighting of the blue being dark and shady and the letter being serious. What also added to the images being scary was the use of music. The music gave an eerie feeling of things just going fast and scary. The film establishes the thriller genre by the lettering being serious and basic. Then the music of the opening sequence being fast tempoed. That strategies that are used for them to hit there target audience is the gradual effect of the music. Like when you can finally hear it its very fast and you don't know what will happen next. The technology that they used that real...

Title research: Dial M for Murder

Image
The titles that are displayed in the opening sequence would be ancient telephone and words in front of it tell the main character's name. Also the title of the movie and other people who worked on the project as well. This also has certain word lettering that helps the movie as well come off as creepy. The images that are projected are creepy images of an old phone. That was the latest phone of that time, due to the movie being produced in the 50s. The images carry a connotation of creepiness within the letter of the words alone. Also as well as the lighting, creating a shadow. Also showing that it is happening at night and normal bad things happening a night. That gives off a scary feeling. The film establishes a feeling of fear with the picturing of it as well as the sounds. That is in the background giving the words different feelings. As well as it reminding you it an old movie from the music being a more classical old school music. The different strategies that help appeal to...

Title research: Splice

Image
The titles that are displayed during the opening sequence would be the names of the main people who acted in the show. Also, people who did work in the show as far as directing, etc. as well as the name of the movie. The images that are prioritized in the opening scene would be the inside of a person's body. Showing veins that could be in a living body. The connotation that these images carry is dark. By them doing this it gives a feel of the movie is going to be scary. With it having to do with some sort of animal or mutant humans. The film establishes the level of a scare by the visuals that are being shown in the opening sequence. Of different parts of a body moving and seeing something grow inside of it. Which makes it feel that the movie may be about animals or mutant animals. The strategies that are used for it be ensured as a thriller. Would be the offputting music in the background as your going through clips inside of a body and an animal growing inside of it. It also att...

Genre research: Us

Image
The element of my thriller that I have based it on upon watching "Us" would be a mystery. I say this because throughout the entire film I was confused about what was happening. Until it got to the very end and everything was clarified. Of the meaning behind everything and how intricate it was to the story. If there was never that element in the movie it just would not be a good one. An element I also enjoyed from the movie would be raised questions on why they were they and what they wanted. Due to the questions being asked there was a sort of realization of why It was happening throughout the film. When the questions were being answered by the party inflicting the terror. Due to the element of raised questions, the whole process went slower. With having to find out why it took place in the first place. High emotions as well from this movie would be a great element. Due to the level of the charters really playing their roles well enough to make the audience jump.  This bring...

Genre research: Split

Image
The element of my thriller that I have based it on upon watching 'Split" would be unexpected events. I choose this one because in the movie there was a sequence of not know what personality you would be coming in contact with next. This would help my movie drastically to be a thriller. Not only that but to give the audience a shock factor. If I am successful this doing so it will give off the same emotions that this movie put me and others through. It's very important to me to execute these levels of feels to give the audience a rush. Also feel that their time was not wasted on stupidity. An element of genre that the movie that I particularly liked would be 100% be the suspense. I feel like this is very important in a thriller because it keeps the people on their toes. If you do it right I will be a success and so will your project. Another element from the movie I enjoyed would be the twisted personality of the main charter. Again with this element, keeps the audience won...

Genre research: Get Out

Image
The element of my thriller that I have based it on upon watching "Get out" would be unexpected events. I have done such in a way to be a thriller without having to think about it. Also to play the role of a thriller and scare the audience. Thus achieving my goal in unexpected events occurring in my movie just like Get out. Get out had a bunch of scenes and situations that came out of nowhere. You just did not know what was going to happen next. But with that happening it was exciting to see it happen and continue to watch to see why. The element of genre that "Get out" had that I liked would have to be the twisted personality of the main girl in the series getting the guys acting as if she liked them. Only to take them back to her house and have their brains taken out and replaced with another brain. From watching at the beginning of the show she seems very nice overall and caring. Like she had no mean bone in her body. Only for her to turn around and help her famil...

Genre Decision Blog

Image
For my opening sequence, I have decided to do something very dark and also pops up out of nowhere. Just at you like 3D. Since the genre of my project will be a thriller. Everything in my movie will kinda come out of nowhere and be very unexpected. This makes complete sense with it matching up to my movie. I will also use some of the cool techniques that I got from looking at the different websites. That I was recently on to see the different information that they provide to the public. Like one thing I already have in mind and planed is the look of the words and how they match the film I will create. I will probably do something people would not suspect like weird writing for a thriller movie. This works due to it being unexpected like most thrillers. It's also very exciting what is going to happen next after the opening sequence. I came up with my conclusion by simply see what would go well with my genre. Also, I came up with it being different than the rest not only to fit in wi...

The common CAMS in this genre would be medium shots, eye-level shots, and static or fixed shots.  The common editing that is used in comedy Snappy  editing , sight gags, physical  comedy , and funny dialogue are clearly. Some examples of comedy movies would be   Meet the Parents (2000) Mean Girls (2004)  'You can't sit with us.' Pulp Fiction (1994). Common sounds in comedy would be sound effects of laughter to make the joke.  Some things I like about comedy would be the funny commentary that is always being said.  Some things I don't like about comedy would be the jokes sometimes come off cringy, just it not landing at all.  The common CAMS in this genre would be uplighting, low angles, and zoom.  The common editing that is used in horror would be sound effects. Some example films for horror would be Us, Pet Sematary, Childs play, Saw. Common sounds in honor would be infrasound The elements of drama that I like in horror would be ...

Title Research: Watch the Titles Website

Image
I am currently looking at this site to know some more information on titles in films. This site is a bit more complicated but gives a good inside of what took place in order to produce it. It gives a good inside into what the creators were thinking when making the project. It also talks about the different reasoning on why they choose the specific letter on their project and how it is different from the rest. Ultimately it shows the significance the wording has to the film. The website also gives different links to help the audience learn more about what they're looking for. They also give credit to where it is due to show that person respect. It's also very helpful because they show what each person did in the film. The website also tells the audience of when the film was produced. (gives the date) The site also has a great comment section so that anyone can voice their concerns about the website. Maybe not having certain key things it should have.

Title Research: Art of the Title Website

Image
I am currently looking at this site for more information on my project. That I am set to do later this month or early next month. This site gives a great inside in to why the creator did what they did for the introduction. It gives a cute cool visual of the meaning behind the title. Shows why it's different from any other and why it how it relates to that certain movie. I also learned about all the different components that went into it as well. As far as different people who worked on the project to create a unique title. The great thing about the site is that it tells everything about what happened and where it took place. They give credit to the people who contributed to the different parts of the project. A site is an overall tool into helping you figure out what is going on and who made it happen and the meaning behind it.

https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1ul7Wvgk9bI8haacW7WBrSzFFYHEqg9D63Gze3_h9WdE/edit?usp=sharing This PowerPoint project was made at the beginning of the school year. I made it by myself in order to understand the different terms in media. It was an assignment everyone had to do in the class.  This PowerPoint has helped me tremendously with understanding how to do my work. Also because of doing this earlier in the year, has helped me to spot out different editing film terms used in different movies or tv shows. Doing this project earlier in the year makes it easier for you to spot the terms versus. Going back each time to look them up. This PowerPoint, really helped me to see the hard work and thought that goes into every scene that we have seen on tv. The genre project (PowerPoint)that I have created is a good thing that I've done in this class. Other children from other schools should do this as well if they are wanting to be behind the scenes in the film. The different media...

Pitch Blog

Image
For my pitch today I will be talking about what movie concept to go with. I have two very incredibly good ones that have great potential. But at the end of the day, I have to pick one. My first pitch and or idea: Sam walking down the street to a food stand, then GIANT jake stomps towards sam. Sam gets scared because he's a nice giant and jake falls to the ground THE END. Second pitch or potential movie:  A random person kidnaps a person talking to their friend at a coffee shop. Then takes them to a dark abandon room and then asks for a then leaves them there THE END. In both of these pitch/ideas, they are light-hearted giving a family feels for all to watch. Which I feel is very important, with there being a lot of kids in the world. The main difference in these pitch ideas is the level of scariness that will be portrayed through the film. In the first pitch, it's a bit scarier for little kids because there seeing a person throw something at another person knocking them down ...

Intro Blog

Hello AICE media today I will be starting my project for this class. I know it's been a while since we've last chat. A lot has been going on, we are currently in a new year!! So it's time to start fresh and make something of ourselves. Ever since the new year, I have been working out trying to stay healthy. I know how American of me but it's been going well. I love kale, I like it sauteed and then I boil some others and add it. I will be shooting a movie that I have come up with off my head. My ideas are like you have never seen before very different, fresh, and new. For a little sneak peek I will be doing a little kidnapping scene. Which will give people that thrill of "what's going to happen next". All I can say now is that the people watching my movie will be scared!! But there will also be some scenes that will lift up the mood. So you will be able to watch it with your family. I felt it was important to include different kinds of scenes that create d...
