Filming blog

On Thursday, the 29th I started filming with my actors. One of the actors was unable to make it so I took over and filmed the commercial and acted as well. As the director, I brought all the props. I set up the area and made sure that the camera was working. For the first scene, I had to prop the camera up and make sure the light was right as well as the paper. But for some scenes, I was forced to hold the camera to shoot the scene. I made sure to direct the specific scenes and angles that went along with it. I reshoot many scenes that I felt need work or needed to be a bit faster. Another thing is that I made sure that the paper mate logo was angled to show the camera. In another scene, I made sure to make sure the set fit the frame to show the action that was taking place, Along with doing that the entire process took about 5 minutes nothing major. But trying to make the film look the best. In the last scene, I made sure to take multiple takes to show the giving nature that paper mate pens bring. While filming the last scene in order to get it right and send the message. We had to make sure the lighting was correct and that the taking and passing of the pen was showing the paper mate logo was showing. While filming we encountered some background noise and had to wait for it to quite down. Also, another thing we came across was our mess being left behind and having to clean it up for each scene. As well as lighting and the adjustment of the camera since I was filming and acting as well. During the process of filming, I made sure that we did multiple trial runs. If I still felt it wasn't right as direct or I practiced more with my fellow actor to get it right.
