Critical Reflection Questions

How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues? My commercial represents social issues by using a song that talks about the black community being kept down and how they have to keep getting back up and fight for their rights. The product of my music video is amazing showing everything that I wrote on my storyboard. My music video lets people know the struggle black people in America have gone through. Also, the growth that is coming to move on and making a difference. My music video also influences people to make a change a recognize the pattern that has gone on for 100s of years. My music video does not challenge conventions, it is the same kinda feel of as the original video. With a bit of difference with using different intro objects and props. My music video engages with audiences by it being available to watch anywhere at any time. It also teaches you a little about all the things that have happened in the black community. It would be distributed as "moving forward and breaking the chains that once held us back". By being distributed as such it would help people get through life who have gone through the struggle. For other people, it would teach people the things the black people have gone through and show them that they need to be considerate and change.  My product skills develop throughout this project by knowing how to insert certain clips and doing a fade-out transition. I learned these transitions from my last project that really helped me this time around. I integrated technologies- software, hardware, and online in this project by filming on my cell phone and then uploading it onto my laptop. From that, I started to add my videos onto to my editing software. The great thing about this class that also really helped me with this project would be planning and making sure I have back up. With my plans, I was able to be prepared for anything that could have happened. But because I timed everything right I was able to film in my original location.

My partner had senior pictures today. So we weren't able to do work on our project/ start filming. So instead of wasting time I worked further on our schedule. Our go date on filming is next week, where we will be starting the filming process. I also have worked out the electronics we will be using for the film. The photos for our social media's will be posted once we start filming. I particularly want this to happen to give the social media's a more authentic feel. Spring break Blog

 So currently in the United States, this is our last day for school. From now until the end of March we will be on spring break. This is extremely well needed with all the different classes having to be kept up with and the work. This spring break will be the break every high schooler or anyone in school has needed since the time school started. I am very excited to take a break and focus on my mental health. It is very important to get back in tune with your mental self that a lot of people seem to forget about. When it comes to school, grades, and work overall. So spring break will give us this time to check in with ourselves. Also, spring break gives us time to let loose and not have to worry about anything. In today's blog, I will be about the next steps in my task. My first in this will be to do more research on editing which is what I am currently doing. " Editing is the process of selecting and preparing written, photographic, visual, audible, or cinematic material used by a person or an entity to convey a message or information." My main concern as of now is the editing software. Luckily I have the internet that shows over 20 reliable and reputable software to search from either for android or I phone.
